French-Style Pommes Paillasson

For 4 servings:

  • 2 potatoes 
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour (or bread flour)/li>
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 Red bell pepper (sliced into 0.5cm strips)
  • 2 slices bacon (cut into strips)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Sweet chili sauce, to taste
  • Sour cream, for serving


Place the julienned potatoes in a bowl and dust with all-purpose flour. Add the egg, milk, red bell pepper, bacon, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well to combine. Turn on the abien MAGIC GRILL. Form the potato mixture into round patties.

Place the patties on the skillet and cook until golden brown on one side. Cover with aluminum foil and cook over low heat for about 2 minutes. Once the patties develop a golden-brown color, remove the aluminum foil and flip them over. Cook on high heat until golden brown on both sides.

Slice the galettes to your desired size and serve with sweet chili sauce and sour cream.
